Engine – A top end rebuild will cost between $500 - $1,500. (you could run 2+ seasons between rebuild if you wanted) A full engine rebuild costs about. $2,500

Brakes will last a couple of seasons. Because the cars are so light they do not go through brakes very fast

Tyres cost around $750 a set and will last 2 seasons if you look after them.

Fuel - Formula Vee engines run on pump fuel. You use about 30 litres a race meet for a 1600.

Race entries are around $330 a race meet

Practice days are $110

Club fees are $70 a year

Race prepared gearboxes cost $1,000 and last seasons (if you use the clutch to change gears).


Although not common, accidents can happen.
The front H beam on a Formula Vee is very strong. They can take a big hit and only need a wheel alignment. If you do need to replace one, it would cost between $1,000 - $1,500.

The bodies are fibreglass, so you can either fix it yourself or go to a fiberglass repair business. They do not cost that much.
