Keep the gearbox oil level to filler hole. A thrust washer in the top rear of gearbox has been known to nip up. May need to install breather tube in rear housing if not already there.
If you check brake pad wear from the outside, you may think they are hardly worn. If they are not covered completely by the disc, the outside may not be worn at all. Always carry a spare set.
Optimum oil temperature during race is 100C never go over 125C or engine damage may result
Scan gauges when on a straight
At the end of a race, you may need to keep some revs while engine is cooling to maintain positive oil pressure. It may be quite low on idle.
